Pick Your Part Dinner
|
Chef Nate Smith most recently was the head chef at Dean St. Even though he no longer works there, he’s been busy with his pop-up Sunday dinners at Veronica People’s Club in Greenpoint. AND just this past Thursday he did another pop-up dinner at Pinkerton, a wine bar in Williamsburg. The idea was he’ll cook a whole animal, lamb, and you get to pick which part of the animal to eat. Along with his sous chef, Alexis Krisel, they offered an incredible 4 course meal (fried lamb belly sticks, pasta with lamb neck ragu, roasted saddle/shoulder with barley risotto, salad with liver or fried sweetbreads/brains, and other tasty dishes. Sophie Kamin was in charge of the biscuits with rhubard and whipped cream dessert). The word is this will be a weekly dinner at Pinkerton, every Thursday. Go check it out people!
